You must protect the information you have access to. As the volume grows, you need a good way to label files, so that others can protect that information as well.
The time of adding "CONFIDENTIAL" to titles, footers and watermarks is over - start saving time with Google Drive today.
Drive labels have network effects - the more you use them, the more others will notice them and start using them as well. Every file labeled (a 15-second action!) will help your colleagues make smarter decisions about what to do with the file.
My challenge for you today: Read up on your organization's policy if you're not familiar, and label any file you edit over the course of a day. Start with your own files if you prefer, but eventually, label them all. Like you would correct a typo. I have never been asked "Why have you labeled my file?" nor has anyone removed a label. To the contrary - people have started talking about what is permitted with confidential files. The writers of any security policy would have tears in their eyes. Thank you for watching!
